The Center For Energy And Environmental Research

能源與環境研究中心

Research focus and objectives

This department is organized as a "task force" to evaluate technology development and the government's technology policy.

Our center focuses on interdisciplinary research in the fields of energy and environment, addressing critical issues such as climate change, resource consumption, environmental pollution, and low-carbon transition. We develop forward-looking and feasible policies and management strategies, analyzing environmental governance policies, including environmental taxation, carbon pricing, emissions trading, and performance standards, to provide valuable insights for decision-makers.

In addition, we are committed to supporting businesses in their low-carbon transition by assisting with carbon inventories, carbon footprint assessments, and carbon neutrality strategies. We also promote internal carbon pricing mechanisms to enhance industrial sustainability and competitiveness.

To foster greater awareness and engagement in environmental issues, our center conducts professional training programs, educational courses, and research exchanges. Through policy advocacy and specialized events, we strengthen knowledge and practical capabilities in environmental management across sectors, facilitating collaboration between government, industry, academia, and civil society to drive sustainable environmental development.
