The Center for Science and Technology Policy Evaluation (CSTPE)
Founding Mission
In the 21st century, when the situation at home and abroad is changing rapidly, various applied science and technology cross-domain policies that meet the actual needs of society and generate economic benefits will play a key role in promoting national development. In view of this, CSTPE was established in 2010. CSTPE will leverage and integrate economic analysis tools, such as basic survey research in the social sciences and economic impact and cost-benefit analysis. CSTPE also evaluates the socio-economic benefits and provide economic valuation for various national policies which can simultaneously help the government to access the various impacts and response its measures of various policies at the socio-economic level.
Research Direction and Goals
CSTPE carries out research work for various policy evaluation projects on behalf of public and private institutions. Our work is based on the professional abilities of our CSTPE team members, who make good use of social science-based research methodologies to provide evaluation results and policy recommendations which are supported by scientific data. The main research areas of CSTPE research team include: the establishment of scientific development and technological innovation indicators, pioneer research on economic policies, strategic planning, macroeconomic indicators, cost-benefit analysis, assessment of the economic valuation of non-market goods.
